Matthew Stevens EA
Matthew first came to Thailand in 2004 as a university student studying economics. Since then, he has traveled and worked in Asia, gaining significant experience in cross-border financial issues while holding positions in various tax and law firms. He owns and manages a Bangkok-based practice that specializes in helping expats throughout Asia remain tax compliant, while also providing longer-term planning advice and strategies to individuals and small business owners. Currently, he is assisting Creveling & Creveling with general financial planning support and administration.
Matthew holds undergraduate degrees in economics and business management from UC Santa Barbara in the US and Thammasat University in Bangkok, respectively. Additionally, he earned an MBA from California State University. Beyond his academic achievements, Matthew has earned the US Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, has passed CFA Level 1, and is an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the IRS. He has served as co-chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce’s Thailand Tax Committee, where he has been a regular speaker.
