“The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification is roughly equivalent to a specialised postgraduate finance degree, including a mixture of economics, ethics, law and accountancy.”
“CFA is a challenging qualification, requiring candidates not only to master theory, but detailed knowledge of regulations in particular jurisdictions. It typically takes three years to complete, involving a minimum of 250 hours (of study) a year.”
“Certified Financial Planner, Certified Investment Management Analyst, and Chartered Financial Analyst all have strong requirements, but the CFA is the strongest for investors.”
Chad and Peggy Creveling are also founding members of the CFA Society of Thailand. Established in 2003, the CFA Society of Thailand is one of 134 affiliated societies in 55 countries whose purpose is to encourage the development of the investment industry in Thailand and to improve the professional competence and integrity of its investment professionals.
